Managing sustainable development of government link companies (GLCs) in Malaysia through emotional intelligence and organisational politics

Organisational politics are becoming a common topic in management studies because of the negative influence it can have on workforce. This study was conducted to examine effect emotional intelligence organisational government link companies (GLCs) Malaysia. The study's research framework supported by leader member exchange (LMX) theory. Data collected from middle top level managers GLCs Malaysia using stratified random sampling method. Three hundred and twenty-five usable questionnaires were analysed partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM). findings show that there is significant between politics. provides an understanding presence help improving leader's ability manage political environment. could be replicated within other industries refining items used as measurement variable.
